Oscar-winning ‘Ghost’ to become stage musical

The 1990 film Ghost will debut next year on the stage with music and lyrics courtesy of Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics and Glen Ballard, the songwriter-producer responsible for Alanis Morissette’s album Jagged Little Pill, Variety reported today.

Bruce Joel Rubin, who won an Oscar for the movie’s screenplay, will adapt his original tale, while Matthew Warchus (Boeing-Boeing, Art) will direct.

The creators are aiming for a 2010 London premiere.
