Summer Glau May Want A Part On Whedon’s S.H.I.E.L.D. TV Series

Firefly star has 'fingers crossed' to join Whedon's S.H.I.E.L.D.

Joss Whedon is notorious for working with the same group of actors, writers and directors—and one lovely former Firefly star is making a play for his upcoming Avengers spin-off TV series S.H.I.E.L.D..

Summer Glau (Firefly, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles) was recently chatting with IGN, and the topic of Whedon’s eagerly anticipated S.H.I.E.L.D. series came up.

No surprisingly, she’d love to do it.

Considering that Glau has already made her way through Whedon’s Angel, Firefly and Dollhouse, it’s not too far-fetched to think he could find a place for her in his latest effort.

Here’s what she had to say:

"I have my fingers crossed behind my back. I try not to say anything to Joss about anything he’s doing because he has so many actors, and I know we all want to work for him. So I don’t know, but if I could be a part of it in any way, of course, you know I want to."

We already know that Clark Gregg (Agent Phil Coulson) will be back in some capacity, and you’d have to think Glau could pull off one of the potential characters we’ve seen leaked in recent months.

What do you think? Would you like to see Glau suit up as the latest S.H.I.E.L.D. agent?
